The coil guard applies the input voltage to the coil for 4 seconds and then reduces the current through pulse width modulation with nominal 22kHz switching frequency.

The 4 seconds delay are required to soft start the bulk capacitor within the current limitations as set per specification. After that the capacitor is hard connected and the pulse width modulation starts with the preset ratio.

These timers are compatible with Powerflow Solenoid Valves. The timers can be sold separately or as a complete assembly. See Powerflow Solenoid Timer Drains for more information.
